Sowing Time & Method

  • Summer: Jan–Feb, Kharif: June–July & Rabi: Oct–Nov
  • Seed rate: 350 -400 Gram /acre & Direct sowing in pits/ridges

Spacing & Nutrient Management

  • Spacing: 8–10 ft × 3–4 ft & Fertilizer: NPK 40:20:20 kg/acre
  • Apply Secondary Nutrients – Ca, Mg, S & Apply nitrogen in split doses

Irrigation

  • First irrigation after sowing & Then every 6–8 days
  • Avoid waterlogging

Pest & Disease Management

  • Fruit fly, aphids → Neem oil / Flonicamid & Fipronil
  • Powdery mildew, mosaic → Mancozeb / Metalaxyl + Cooper Oxychloride

Harvesting

  • Harvest in 75–90 days
  • Yield: Depend On Nutrients Management & Climatic Condtions
