  • Temperature: 22–30°C & Well-drained sandy loam soil, pH 6–7.5

Land Preparation

  • 2–3 ploughings & Add 10–12 tons FYM/acre

Sowing Time & Method

  • Summer: Jan–Feb | Kharif: June–July | Rabi: Oct–Nov
  • Seed rate: 600 – 800 Gram /acre & Direct sowing on ridges/pits

Spacing & Nutrient

  • Spacing: 6–7 ft x 2–3 ft
  • Fertilizer: NPK 30:20:25 kg/acre & Nitrogen in split doses
  • Apply Secondary Nutrients – Ca , Mg , S Crop Required

Irrigation

  • After sowing, then every 5–7 dayss
  • Critical at flowering & fruiting

Pest & Disease Management

  • Fruit fly, aphids → Neem oil / Flonicamid & Fipronil
  • Powdery mildew, mosaic → Mancozeb / Metalaxyl + Cooper Oxychloride

Harvesting

  • First harvest: 45–55 days
  • Yield: Depend On Nutrients Management & Climatic Condtions
